OUR STORY

Lakeland Community Church began in 1995 in the living room of Dan and Laurie Wilburn. They wanted to create a church for people who didn’t go to church. They wanted a place where people who didn’t know the drill, the language, the rituals, and the stories could come and hear the life changing message of Jesus in a way they could understand and apply to their lives. This has remained the hope and vision of Lakeland Community Church.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to build a community of authentic followers of Jesus Christ.  We are friends for a journey, walking a path of spiritual growth together.

OUR PATH

We have a growth path called “Milestones” that provides in depth teaching and discipleship that changes as we grow in the faith. ​

OUR BELIEFS

We believe Jesus Christ is Lord and Redeemer.  We believe that he came to earth and in his life death and resurrection makes salvation accessible to us all along with a world made new.

We believe the Bible is inspired by God and the final authority on all matters to which it speaks.  We believe that the Bible uses a variety of genres to point us to the Word of God which is Jesus. We believe there is one God revealed in three distinct persons, Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. 

We believe in the mission of the Church and the power of the Holy Spirit to guide our community into a life of faith and discernment.
