MATT SISK ELDER
I grew up on a farm in Garden City, MO and attended Sherwood High School. This year marks my 18th year of teaching History at many different levels of the educational system, including middle school, high school and also at the college level. My bachelor’s degree is in Social Studies/Secondary Education from Central Missouri State University (now named The University of Central Missouri). I have a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis (School Administration) from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I coach football and track. My wife and I have been married since 2001 and we have two children, Corina and Tye. We are also currently foster parents.

What would your dream vacation be? Anywhere near the mountains.
I enjoy reading, drinking coffee, playing board games, being outdoors, watching movies, playing with my family, and I love history.
